    1. Haze Control and Optical Performance

    Etched AG: Haze is determined by the depth of chemical etching, and once formed, it cannot be adjusted. Large-size glass is prone to uneven etching, resulting in large haze deviations, localized over-etching or under-etching, making it difficult to meet the high requirements of commercial displays for overall screen consistency.

    Spray-coated AG (Significant Advantages): Wide adjustable haze range, precise and controllable. Spray-coated AG allows for continuous haze adjustment within a wide range of 3% to 25% by adjusting the amount of nanoparticles added, the number of coating layers, and the film thickness. This flexibly matches the anti-glare requirements of different scenarios such as indoor advertising machines, conference tablets, and high-brightness commercial displays.

    Superior Uniformity for Large Sizes: Utilizing automated multi-gun spraying, the film thickness distribution is uniform, resulting in minimal haze fluctuations across the entire panel, with no bright spots or bright/dark stripes, making it more suitable for large-size commercial display panels of 55 inches and above.

    2. Environmental Comparison of Manufacturing Processes

    Etching AG: Utilizes hydrofluoric acid and strong acid systems, generating fluoride-containing wastewater, acidic waste gas, and hazardous waste residue during production. This results in significant investment in environmental treatment facilities, high hazardous waste disposal costs, and substantial environmental risks and regulatory pressure.

    Spray Coating AG: Free of strong acids, fluorides, and highly hazardous waste. A purely physical film-forming process that does not corrode the glass substrate, avoiding fluoride-containing pollutants and strong acidic waste liquids at the source, significantly reducing environmental risks.

    Controllable VOCs, Easy to Achieve Cleaner Production: Water-based AG coatings and high-solids, low-VOC systems can be used, combined with closed-loop spraying and waste gas treatment, easily achieving low or even near-zero emissions, better meeting the green manufacturing and export environmental requirements for commercial displays.

    Shorter Process, Lower Energy Consumption, Less Waste: Eliminates the need for multi-stage cleaning, neutralization, and wastewater treatment systems, resulting in a simpler production line. Energy consumption and solid waste volume are far lower than etching, making it suitable for large-volume, large-size green mass production of commercial displays.

    1. Soda-lime Glass (Ordinary Flat Glass)

    •  Composition: Mainly composed of silicon dioxide (SiO₂, approximately 70%), sodium oxide (Na₂O), and calcium oxide (CaO).
    • Characteristics: Easy to produce, low cost, but poor thermal stability and brittle.
    •  Applications: The most common type of glass, used for doors, windows, bottles, jars, and everyday utensils.

    2. Borosilicate Glass (Heat-Resistant Glass)

    • Composition: Based on soda-lime glass, boron oxide (B₂O₃) is added.
    • Characteristics: Low coefficient of thermal expansion, high temperature resistance, resistance to rapid temperature changes (not easily cracked by sudden heating and cooling), good chemical stability.

    3. Aluminosilicate Glass

    • Composition: Contains a large amount of aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) and silicon dioxide (SiO₂).
    • Characteristics: High hardness, scratch resistance, high mechanical strength, superior performance compared to borosilicate glass.
    • Applications: Cover glass for high-end mobile phones/tablets, aviation glass, etc. Well-known brands include Corning Gorilla Glass.

    4. Quartz Glass

    • Composition: Silicon dioxide (SiO₂) content is above 99%.
    • Characteristics: Excellent heat resistance (softening point up to 1700℃), wide light transmission spectrum (from ultraviolet to infrared), high purity, and excellent chemical stability. However, it is expensive.
    • Applications: Semiconductor industry, optical devices, observation windows in high-temperature furnaces, ultraviolet lamps, etc.
